Brian Wilshaw

Article text
After a mis-spent youth playing flutes and saxophones in various rock and Jazz bands in the late 60’s and early 70’s Brian Wilshaw graduated from Leicester University with a degree in music, philosophy and history of art. Most of his working life he has been involved in education: as head of music in a progressive school in Leicestershire, head of music and performance technology in Liverpool Community College and as consultant and then manager of the Learning Lighthouse, a City Learning Centre on the Wirral specialising in music technology and video.

Brian has now retired to the north west of Scotland where he continues to compose and arrange music, in particular for a flute group based in Fort William run by his wife Liz (another flute player).
