Terms and Conditions

How do I order?
You can search the website using the catalogue links on the homepage, or the google search button. Where possible, each product page includes a recording and a link to a score sample and the programme note; if you require any further information to help you select items please don't hesitate to get in touch.

To add an item to your order, click "Add to Cart". Once you have finished shopping, click on the Shopping Cart link in the left hand menu, or simply click "View Cart" on any of the product pages.

Address information is taken from your Paypal account so please ensure this is correct at the time of ordering.

Flat rate UK shipping is automatically added to your order. For international orders, a shipping supplement is required; please add this following the links on the right hand side in the shopping cart. For more information about postage and delivery times, see https://www.tetractys.co.uk/section726144.html

You can also order by email to publishing@tetractys.co.uk and we will send you an invoice.

Please ensure that you check the email address associated with your PayPal account for any updates to your order.

How can I pay?
You can pay by Paypal directly through the website. Alternatively, if you prefer to pay by credit card or bank transfer select the 'pay by invoice' option at the checkout and we will send you the relevant details. Please note that goods will only be shipped once payment has been received.

When we have received your order, we will send you an email confirmation. Please note that this is done manually so may take a little while to come through. Please ensure you check the email address associated with your PayPal account for any updates.

Do you sell PDFs?
PDFs are available by special arrangement with the composer. Please contact us with any requests and we will do our best to help.

How do I correct an error in my order?
If you have made an error in your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will assist you to rectify it.

How can I cancel my order?
You may cancel your order of physical items at any time before the goods are dispatched and within 14 days of receiving your goods. Refunds will only be issued if the music is received in perfect condition, so please make sure the packaging used is appropriate. Music that has been damaged or marked in any way is not eligible for a refund. We recommend obtaining proof of postage when you send it back to us. PDFs cannot be refunded once delivered.

What is B-Stock?
All of our books are made to order and put together by hand. This means there are sometimes small defects, for example where staples have broken or become misaligned, or where cover images have not printed correctly. Our B-Stock sale sells these books at a reduced price on the understanding that the customer accepts that there are small defects.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged or if it doesn't arrive?
Contact us and we will arrange a replacement for you.

Why am I charged taxes when my order arrives?
International customers may be charged taxes according to the customs laws of your country. Import duties can vary; please check the regulations for your location before ordering. Import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

Can I share PDFs?
No. It is illegal to copy or share PDFs of our music, print multiple copies of solo parts to share with others (including students), put score and parts online (including in a cloud-based system) for use by a restricted or unrestricted audience.

Can I photocopy parts?
If you need additional parts for your ensemble, we are happy for you to make additional copies, but please ensure these are used responsibly. Please destroy additional copies after use. Additional sets of parts are available from us on request.

Can I put a video of a performance of a work from your catalogue on the internet?
Many of the works in our catalogue are protected by copyright, and need permission of the copyright holder. We're usually very happy to give permission for you to post recordings, but please check with us first and ensure the composer/arranger are appropriately credited.

What do I do if I want to perform one of the works in your catalogue?
Please let us know so that we can ensure the composer is aware of your performance. The pieces are subject to the relevant performance rights being applied, so please ensure any performances are reported to the PRS or equivalent collection agency in your country.

Where does the money from the sale of the music go to?
Tetractys Publishing was set up to support its composers and to help promote new music for low flutes. 10% of the sales money is donated to rarescale, a registered charity, to help support composer bursaries for educational events and to contribute towards the costs of performance of the works by the composers in our catalogue. Once production costs are deducted, a large proportion of the remainder of the sale price of each piece goes directly to the composer or arranger to help them make a living from their work.

Who is behind Tetractys?
Tetractys is a very small company run by low flute specialist Carla Rees. There are no employees; Carla does all of the work herself from printing the orders and shipping them to dealing with customers and composers. You can read about the ethos behind the company in our About Us pages
