Ambrose Field is a British Composer. His pieces combine lush harmonic soundscapes with a focused aesthetic where places, architecture and people form part of the compositional process. His work has been recorded by ECM Records and has toured internationally. Field was Head of Music at the University of York (2013-2018) and was appointed Honorary Professor of China Conservatory: China National School of Music, Beijing, in 2017.
